Photographing newborns is a blast but its even more fun when an older sibling comes in for some pictures too!
The most important thing about photographing toddlers with their newborn sibling is safety. To ensure that, the pose needs to be set up where the toddler is not responsible for holding the weight of the newborn baby. In this pose the children are on a bed in my studio, all big brother has to do is love on his new brother– Mom is inches away stage left! Everyone is safe and happy!
Im super excited about my new studio- I love having options to do things like offering a bed set up- this gives the images a “home sweet home” feeling. I have another room where I do “studio” pictures, offering my clients a variety of images to choose from ranging from lifestyle to studio.
*Newborn sessions are best done within the first 2 weeks of the baby being born, so please book ahead of time to make sure you don’t miss this window of them being sleepy and tiny!
